Edge protection trim – model 1244, grey

This flexible Edge protection trim is designed to protect edges and provide a neat finish on many different types of material – such as metal sheets, veneer, fibreglass, plastic or wood. It is particularly suitable for items with curved or irregular shapes, as it is made from soft PVC that moulds closely around the edges.

The robust plastic material is resistant to both moisture and temperature fluctuations, making the profile suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, as well as in damp environments such as bathrooms and sheds.

The edge protection trim serves both as protection against damage and wear and as an attractive and functional finish.

The trim is fitted without the use of tools or glue and automatically grips the edge. It simply needs to be pressed or bent onto the edge of the workpiece.

Here is how:

Make sure the edge of the workpiece is clean and free from dust and dirt.
Position the opening of the trim over the edge to be protected.
Press the trim into place with your fingers or bend it over the edge using gentle pressure.
Work your way slowly along the workpiece until the profile is securely in place all the way round.

Tip: For very sharp bends, it may be helpful to heat the profile slightly with a heat gun or hairdryer to make it more pliable.
