PRIMO’s solid plastic base glazing bead are a long-lasting solution for windows—ideal for both renovations and new construction.

The solid construction makes the glazing beads stable and easy to install. The strips are made of UV- and weather-resistant plastic that does not absorb water, does not rot, and requires no painting or other maintenance.

The bottom glazing bead is equipped with an effective drip edge that directs water away from the window and protects the frame from moisture damage. An attached black glazing tape ensures a tight and durable seal against the glass, and the beads can be used with both single-pane and insulated glass.

With four different sizes available, it is easy to find a solution that fits your project perfectly while significantly extending the window’s lifespan.

This base glazing bead is easy to customize and install—whether for renovation or new construction.

The trim is cut with a fine-toothed saw and fastened with stainless steel nails or screws. To ensure a sturdy and durable installation, fastenings are recommended every 15 cm and no more than 5 cm from the ends.

The trim does not split during installation, making the job quick and hassle-free.

We also recommend that the glazing beads not be painted in dark colours, as this can affect the plastic’s dimensional stability and lifespan.

Here is how easy it is to install the glazing bead, base:

Measure and cut the bottom glazing bead to size using a fine-toothed saw.
Secure with stainless steel nails or screws—no more than 15 cm between each fastener and no more than 5 cm from the ends.
The mouldings will not split and are easy to work with.
Ensure proper alignment of adjacent glazing beads and adequate ventilation.
