Soft skirting – 2 mm

The 2 mm-thick, soft skirting is a flexible solution for the transition between the floor and the wall—particularly well-suited for high-traffic areas such as institutions, hospitals, and stores, but also for those who want a practical and hygienic solution at home.

The skirting is made of durable plastic that is resistant to moisture, impact, and frequent cleaning. With its flexible design, it adapts to minor unevenness and provides a neat, tight finish. This means fewer places where dirt and bacteria can accumulate—and thus a cleaner, easier-to-maintain surface. Available in several colors to match both modern and classic interiors.

Soft skirtings from PRIMO are self-adhesive and easy to install. For best results, it is important that the room is warm enough and that the surface is clean and even. Press the molding into place with even pressure, without stretching it, and trim the corners to fit. When installed correctly, you will get a beautiful and durable finish—without nails, screws, or caulk.

Here is how:

Temperature and Acclimatization: Store the trim for at least 3 days in the room where it will be installed. The room must be at least 18 °C and thoroughly heated
Prepare the surface: Make sure the wall and floor are clean, dry, and even. Remove dust and loose plaster. Avoid installing on sawdust wallpaper or uneven walls.
Prepare the trim: Unroll the trim and let it rest for a while. Do not stretch the trim during installation.
Installation: Peel off the backing film a little at a time and press the trim firmly with even pressure in the direction of installation. Avoid removing the entire protective film at once.
Corners: Cut the trim at the corners to prevent it from coming loose. If necessary, use extra contact adhesive in the corners.
Maintenance: The skirting can be cleaned with standard cleaning products and can withstand daily washing.
