FiberCore Side/Top Glass Strip – Model 4199

PRIMO FiberCore glass strips are an energy-efficient and durable solution for both windows and doors.

They are made from an advanced composite that combines natural plant fibers with the strength and low-maintenance properties of plastic.

This means the glazing beads insulate up to 160 times better than aluminum and have a U-value of just 0.18—which effectively reduces heat loss around windows and doors.
At the same time, the material is resistant to moisture and weather. It does not absorb water and will not rot, crack, or dry out. This provides a solution that requires minimal maintenance and extends the lifespan of the windows.

Installing PRIMO FiberCore glass moldings is simple and requires only a few tools. Thanks to the clever clip system, you’re guaranteed a precise and attractive finish—with no visible nails or screws.

Follow the steps below for proper installation:

Remove the existing glazing bead
Carefully loosen and remove the old bottom glazing bead, then thoroughly clean the window rebate of dirt and debris.
Take precise measurements
Measure the width of the rebate accurately to ensure the new horizontal bottom glass trim fits correctly. Use the tightest rebate measurement.
Position the clips correctly
: Insert the clips against the glass and secure them in the pre-drilled holes with screws. The screws must be driven at an angle into the rebate.
—Use 5 clips per meter
—The distance from corners must not exceed 5 cm
—The clips are designed for a 7° angled bottom rebate
Snap the strip into place
Press the FiberCore bottom glass strip against the clips with light pressure until you hear a click. It is helpful to lightly moisten the glass tape with soapy water to facilitate installation.
