GLAZING BEADS FOR DOORS AND WINDOWS
The purpose of glazing beads is to hold the pane in the window frame. It must fit tightly against the glass, preventing water from entering and at the same time helping to channel rainwater away from the window.
PRIMO's glazing beads for doors and windows are maintenance-free and an effective solution for renovating wooden windows. They are made of UV and weather resistant plastic, which does not absorb water or dry out in the same way as wooden mouldings. This protects your windows from rot and moisture - and extend their life.
The glazing beads have an attached black glass strip that fits tightly to the glass and prevents water from entering behind the bead. In addition, the bottom glazing beads have an effective drip nozzle to channel rainwater away.
PRIMO glazing beads can be used for both single and double glazing, as well as for openable windows and fixed frames. The bottom glazing bead must be fitted first, after which the side glazing beads can be fitted. This ensures that the glazing beads fit without being jammed.
PRIMO FIBERCORE GLAZING BEADS
PRIMO FiberCore glazing beads with hidden mounting - without visible nail holes, are an energy efficient and durable solution for all windows and doors.
FiberCore glazing beads combine natural plant fibres with the unique and maintenance-free properties of plants. That's why PRIMO FiberCore glazing beads insulate up to 160 times better than aluminium.
FiberCore glazing beads have a u-value of 0.18, contributing to reduced heat loss. At the same time, the life of the window is extended, as the mouldings do not absorb water, rot or dry out in the same way as wooden mouldings.
These glazing beads are fitted with a clever clips system that ensures quick and easy installation with no visible nails or screws.
