USAGE
When replacing old seal gaskets in windows and wooden doors, a PRIMO weldable seal is recommended.
The method of welding seal conjoining is of older date, and in many cases a radical replacement is easier, but in some types of doors and windows, there’s no other option. If you can choose an alternative, we recommend that you switch to PRIMO gasket with cord 6307, which is a combination moulding that can be mounted easily and without welding but achieves the same long-lasting result.
PRIMO has a large selection of gaskets that cater to a wide range of purposes. Many of the gaskets are made of TPE, which is a non-PVC material that is highly suitable for outdoor use and which, due to its high performance and high quality, has a long-life span.
MOUNTING
When installing welding mouldings, the profile is cut at 45 degrees and welded together. Then, the moulding is installed in the corner and pressed into the groove. Possibly using our in-rollers that you can find under accessories for gasket clamp profiles.
Be aware that the seals are not completely pressed together when the door or window is closed as over time, they will lose their ability to recoil and seal.
